Ali & Tom

XALET DEL NIN

Ali and Tom are a couple from Ireland, who now live in the South of France. With Tom being a rugby player they have had the opportunity to see a lot of the world and with that they decided that the Barcelona coast was their place for them to become husband and wife.

Barcelona was their base for their wedding weekend. Staying at the glamorous and timeless El Palace which is situated in the heart of the city. They began the series of events with a Welcome Party at the Skybar 45 rooftop in the center of the city. Whilst being surrounded by the breathtaking panoramas this was the perfect setting to catch up with loved ones before the big day.

The Wedding Day began at the significant catholic monastery, Santa Maria of Valldonzella in Barcelona city. Which still to this day has nuns living within the grounds. The ceremony was officiated by Ali’s dear uncle, which was a personal touch for the couple. The bride walked into the ceremony with her proud mother. Sadly, her father had passed away but was most definitely at the centre of the ceremony, with the bride lighting a candle in his memory.

From Barcelona city the newlyweds and guests travelled to the Xalet el Nin on the coast. The mediterranean venue which is surrounded by the sea was where the rest of the celebrations continued. Together with Ali we designed a stylish, elevated and chic set up, she truly does have great taste. The florals included classic white flowers and luscious greenery which created unique compositions wherever you looked.

Upon arrival the guests were greeted with a cold glass of Cava, the Cocktail Party began in the Garden/Pool area which has the most incredible backdrop of the sea. The perfect place for a photo opportunity!

The Olive Tree Patio was the setting for dinner, where the Wedding Party table has the backdrop of the golden sunset. The cava tower moment was the start of the evening celebrations followed by the unique Irish band, Riff Shop who are a combination of DJing, saxophonist and drums. Which continued throughout the evening to the early hours of the morning.

The next day we had a get together at the Salt Beach Club which is at the W Hotel in Barcelona city. At the Farewell event Ali, Tom and guests spent the day reminiscing about the fabulous Wedding day in the sunshine. Delicious food and drinks were passed around whilst everyone enjoyed themselves. The setting was a combination of relaxed and sophisticated which was a perfect way to close the days celebrating.
